Most of these cards can be obtained in your home country from affiliated organisations.
This card is distributed by FIYTO (Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations) and offers certain advantages to the under-26's in many countries. If you do not have this card when you arrive in France, you can get one in exchange for a photo, 45 Francs at:

(International Student Identity Card) is issued only to full-time students in higher
education (31 is the top age limit). It too provides numerous advantages . The ISIC card
can be obtained from the university administrative services at home and in France against
proof of enrolment, and costs 60 Francs at OTU (see above).
The International Youth Hostel
Card
is issued by the affiliated organisations in each country. It is better to obtain it before leaving home as it will cost you less. To obtain one in France, contact the Fédération Unies des Auberges de Jeunesse

Youth Card (Carte Jeunes)
The Carte Jeunes jolly well ought to be compulsory!
That's a little saying which could put you on the right track. The Carte Jeunes offers
a whole host of advantages and reductions for both French and foreign card holders
under-26's. It only costs 120 Francs and you will need an identity card and a photo. It
can be obtained from more than 13,000 sales outlets (youth information centres, municipal
youth offices, post offices, Ecureuil savings banks, FNAC).
