Depending on how long you'll be in France, the reasons why you are here, and your lifestyle, you have a range of accommodation to choose from. Those of you who have the itch to hit the road can expect to find youth hostels and other similar lodgings along the way. If you are planning to stay in the same place for over a month, a hall of residence or hostel for students and/or young people who have a job will be the most economical way of doing it (as long as there are places available). Those who like privacy (or can afford it) should try to find a small, inexpensive hotel or rent a room in town. Those who really do their research well might be able to find a room in a private home.
